im switching barns and at my new barn there are no lockers to keep all my stuff so i need to buy a trunk/box/chest sort a thing to keep my stuff in. i am lookin for a "box" that is kind of cheap. it needs to be made out of plastic or steel or something that would be okay if it got wet. it doesnt need to have a saddle rackin it. it needs to be somewhat big..(i have a lot of stuff)
*******please include a website….
I also have to be able to lock it…
Home Depot! They have great trunks that, while not intended for use by horse people, work perfectly and are cheap and durable!

I would recommend maybe making one? I know that its more work but then you could build it to your specifications. Otherwise, theres always stuff like that listed or you could put a want ad out. That way its cheaper than buying something brand new. Good luck!
Edit: Just curious, but why is that a bad idea?

I used an old Trunk . one that was a light metal then I built a wooden one and really enjoyed that because I made it with all sorts of compartments and pegs. A former Morgan horse breeder and a Christian. I bet you could have one made for you rather quickly and inexpensively. A large wooden box will not be carried off by some one else who might borrow stuff when they forgot to buy what they need.

I have a small plastic tack box/tote thing with my horse's splint boots, bell boots, brushes, hoof oil, etc. - basically all the things I need on a daily basis are in there so I can just walk in the tack room and grab it.
I also keep my first aid kit, extra supplies and things I don't need regularly, or things I don't have room for in my other tote - in a plastic rubbermaid bin. I got it at Target for like $10. Everyone at the barn has one, and they fit perfectly under the saddle racks.
This one is more expensive, for whatever reasons - but it's the same type of deal and you can get them for cheaper then this.

You could try buying a tote at wal-mart, but i don't know if it would be good if it got wet. Here are some websites you can look at for one.
