I have a 36DD chest. Normally i choose to go towards halter dresses because of the support but I LOVE this dress for my very casual outdoor wedding. DO you think I would be able to wear this?

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackStrapless can be tough if you have a large bust, but try it on and see. You might not like how it looks on you, and decide to go with a halter in the end.

If the dress comes in a different color then I would say go ahead and wear it…but don't wear all white to a wedding. You may insult the bride…

Sorry to give you the bad news but if you look at their size chart, the biggest size is 12, which has a 39 1/2" bust. If you're a DD I would think your bust size is much larger than that and you won't be able to get the dress around your chest. That's my bust size and I'm a 36C. Measure yourself just to be sure.

I think that's the BCBG dress I just saw when I was there! It's SO cute! I don't think it will be a problem. You need to get something for underneath to make sure you're strapped down proper ha ha! Should be fine & if you go there (Nordstrom) to pick it up, they'll probably have the undergarments you need to in lingerie.
Also, I forgot to say that Nordstrom has a great return policy too so if you don't have time to shop, just have it shipped and you can try it on at home. If it doesn't work, you can just ship it back (prepaid by them) and I think they only keep $5 when they refund you.

I am not a size DD so I dont really know, but it says the dress has boning in it. I think you will want it to be very tight around your waist– if its very very tight, it cant fall, thus supporting you. Get it, and if its not structured enough, maybe you can take it to a seamstress who can add more support in the waist/bodice.

I don't see why not. Just be sure to wear a backless strapless bra that fits well and you should be fine. I would get the bra and then go try the dress on to see how it fits with the bra.

With the size breast you have you actually need support…if there was a way to add a strap across one of the shoulders to support you then fine….but the largest size they have is not big enough for your breast size….you may want to search further.

Its a lovely dress, especially for the kind of wedding you describe, just two things: make sure you have a heck of a strapless bra to hold your bosoms up and out. Also, when you try the dress on, get an opinion from someone who is going to be honest to your face about what you look like because the only problem I forsee is that with breasts your size in a strapless, you might look too top heavy and that will make you look bigger than you are all around.

You absolutely CAN wear a strapless gown with a large bust IF you have the correct undergarments. If you're shopping at Nordstrom, they will def. have a consultant who will be able to find the right bustier, corset, bra, etc. for the dress. You might have to try a few, but there's def one that will make you look fabulous in your dress. It would be a shame not to wear the dress that you really want to your wedding.

Just an FYI, I went to Nordstom's to try on another gown I was considering for my wedding…and they carry most of these dresses online only. You can always return it…but you won't really know anything unless you order it. Cute dress though

That might be tough to pull off..

I don't see why not! It's a lovely dress.
But I would follow the others advice and make sure that you have a well made, comfortable undergarment that will support you well. You may need to check and see if alterations are necessary and if the garment will handle it. Other than that, I wish you well!
Congratulations!

I love that dress SOOOOOO much that I want it myself! Its really pretty and not over the top at all, I want it myself!

Why not? It has boning & a "rubber strip" at the top to keep you in. I would think that would work fine. Cute dress!

Your chest shouldn't matter for that dress as long as you have a GOOD strapless bra to wear.

I'm a guy, and what do I know, except:
Girls with large chests who wear strapless dresses almost always spend 1/2 of their time pulling up the dress, because it continuously falls down. Plus, you'll have oodles of cleavage on a shelf above the dress, which, to me, seems kinda tacky for a wedding dress.
Certainly try it on at Nordy's, where there will be people there to help you fit it, but my guess is that it's not gonna work, or if it does (even with a strapless bra) you'll be disappointed.
