The oak floors are shades of brown with lots of gold, some dark brown and black in them. I want to paint the walls a light shade of aqua blue. I need a dresser or chest of drawers and a headboard. What color would go best with the floors and walls? Black, maple (golden), or antique white?
You could really do black, white or wood with what you have…it is the accents that you will need to be more careful with. But I love aqua (or Tiffany Box Blue), it's great!

I WAS going to say that if you have oak walls, without paint, then too much wood gets obnoxious and you'll want all the furniture to have natural fibers in earth-tone colors.
But since you're painting, I don't know nothing. Your choice.

You have light floors and will have light coloured walls, so black or a black/brown will be the best in my opinion. You need the darker colour to ground the whole look of the room..it will look great..I love the aqua blue colours.

If you are near an Ikea, they have furniture in a color called "black-brown." I think it would compliment aqua colored walls and wood floors.
