If so what is in it?
I have one and it has: a newspaper from the day she was born, the first jumpsuit she ever wore, her umbilical cord (ewww im told but i dont think so), all the cards we recieved when she was born, her hospital bands and card from her nursery cot…..i think thats all….
Yes, I have one each for my 3 boys.
They have all the ultrasound photos ( I had heaps of ultrasounds during my pregnancies!), the local and Melbourne newspapers from the day they were born, their name cards from the hospital cots, there little wrist and feet bands ( so tiny and cute!), the umbilical clamps, their first photos ( they all ended up in NICU so I didnt get to see them, so the NICU nurses took photos and brought them to me), and thats all I can think of right now!
I'll update if I think of more.

Definately!! I didn't like how my Mum didn't keep anything from when I was a baby. I have aboy so he probably won't care when he's older but ow well I will!!
In my box it has
Newpaper from the day he was born (My local newpaper has a section in the horoscopes that is "Babes born on this day" … so far it is quite accurate about his personality!!)
Birth announcement notice from our local paper
Hospital band
Card from the cot in hospital
Umbilical stump..not gross I don't think! I actually was surprised at how hard they go!!
Band off his circumsicion … whatever to all the haters!! I kept it to show him how small his penis was one day lol
A lock of his baby hair
First family photo
That's all!!
EDIT: oh yeah, forgot about the ultrasound CD's and the positive pregnancy test!!

Our son isn't here yet, but I've started his "memory box". I am also filling out a more standard "Baby Book' that asks the typical questions/stats (family tree, etc). I'm hoping to keep up with it once he's here. My mom did a baby book for me and she did a fabulous job of keeping it up.
So far in his box we have all his ultrasound photos, the positive pregnancy tests, all the cards from his baby shower, fabric swatches that I used to make his bedding. I will of course put his footprint thing in there, first lock of hair, umbilical cord (yeah its gross but it'll be sealed in a ziploc), a newspaper from his special day, his first outfit, etc.
I think its a wonderful thing to have. My mom has the baby birth announcement page from our local newspaper from when I was born (has all the babies pictures/names/weights/etc from that month) and its always interesting to see how many of those people I actually know today. They don't do that section of the newspaper anymore though
LOL @ Kangel- be sure to show his circ band to all his girlfriends too. That is too funny!

The one I have for Landon has his hospital bracelets, a newborn diaper, his coming home outfit, his first Halloween and Christmas outfits, his first lock of hair and I think that's it.
