He is almost all black except for very small white spots right in the middle of his chest, near the bottom of his stomach, and under his two forelfs. They are very small, so at first glance he looks all black. Is he a bombay?
Unless you got him from a breeder or have his pedigree papers, he is a Domestic Short Hair, or DSH. This is the "mutt" of cats. He is probably mixed with several different breeds, which means a DSH.

Sometimes fur colouring and markings don't mean you have a pure bred cat. Really it's hard to say what it is from just the colour of it's fur. Try going to catfancy.com

Highly doubtful. What you're describing is your average domestic shorthair. 97% of the cats on this PLANET are of no particular breed. And with black domestics it's VERY rare for them to be solid black. They always tend to have a small cluster (or two) of white hairs somewhere on their body.

Nope, not unless both parents were Bombay. He is a tuxedo. Domestic shorthaired.
