I got a daybed a few months back and I like it alot. It has a trundle underneath of it, which I am using right now as storage. But I'm having a problem. The bed is a pain in the a** to make. The blanket always falls of while I'm sleeping. And it never stays on when I make my bed. I have a duvet cover, and I'm not sure if that makes it worse. I doubt it would, but not sure. My mom said that when she was a kid her friend had a daybed and she had a special blanket for it. Another thing I'm frustrated with is the bed always looks messy when I make it. The blanket always looks lumpy, wrinkly and uneven. I have had other none-daybeds before and the blankets never looked like that. I was wondering if there is some technique to making a daybed, or if there is some kind of "special blanket" for it. Thanks.

I've never had a daybed, however, I believe there are linens made specifically for daybeds (shorter all around) but I don't know where you can purchase them.
But if you're willing and can glue or sew a bit…try this. Buy velcro tape and sew or fabric clue a long strip of velcro to the back/wall edge of the blanket or duvet to the mattress sheet. That's something I would probably try.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackI had a daybed when I was little and I never had a problem with it… Maybe your blanket is just too think? I don't think there is a special blanket for a daybed because it's not that special of a bed where they make custom linens for it.
