latley this week when I go check on my son sleeping in his crib, he always has his blankets rolled up past his tummy almost covering his face, his legs are sticking out the blanket.
Is there anything I could do to prevent him from doing this?
Im afraid he might sufficate himself because of this!
Thanks
Isn't it scary how babies enjoy having their faces covered? I wish I understood why. I know it is really scary, but he is strong enough and capable enough to pull it up onto his face, intentionally, and on a regular basis. That means that he's also strong and capable enough to pull it off of his face if he needs it.
You can also check his blanket to see how "breathable" it is. Hold it up in front of your face. How much can you see through it? How well does air move through it?
If it doesn't seem very breathable, you can try replacing it with a lightly woven cloth that is. You can also try to find a substitute for it, but you may have to be prepared for him not to sleep as well if he can't cover his face like he is used to.

Buy a Halo sleep sack. It is a wearable blanket that zips top to bottom for easy diaper changes and keeps the zipper pull away from baby's face. They come in cotton, velor, and fleece. I love them. You can get them at Babies R Us

You could get a swaddle, or do it yourself with the blanket like they show you at the hospital. You could also google that if you don't know how. My son is just about 6 months, and loves to cover his face too. Sometimes I have a heavy big pillow I sit on the end of his feet to weigh the blanket down. It's a feathered pillow, and he can't move it no matter how hard he tries. I'd go with the swaddle thing though, they sleep better too.
